Crusaders look for Swedish win #2

The Carlstad Crusaders, ranked 6th in Europe, have just suffered their first loss of the season. It came in the quarterfinal of the Eurobowl tournament, the American Football equivalent to the Champions League for soccer. After exiting the tournament the Crusaders focus turns solely to the Super Series. The first opponent in the path of a team seeking a championship repeat is the Arlanda Jets. The Jets have started slowly this season at 0-2 losing to Stockholm and Orebro in the first two weeks of the Series. Carlstad at 1-0 in the Swedish play beat last year's runner-up the Tyreso Royal Crowns in a thrilling game that lasted until the last snap with the final score being 34-28. Arlanda will need to display a wide variety of offensive strategy in order to move the ball against an internationally battle tested Carlstad defense. Likewise, the quick firing Crusaders offense has not only faced, but has also shocked teams abroad including the Kiel Baltic Hurricanes when the offense scored twice in the last 2 minutes and overtime to win the game against the reigning German champs. Tingvalla provides the optimal venue to watch American Football in Sweden. This Saturday one of the top ranked teams in Europe displays its power.
