With sadness I write this blog to let all my followers know that I am not playing football for the Vienna Vikings in 2012, or any one else. I'm "hangin em up" as they say. Hopefully I can make a big deal about it and draw a lot of attention to myself in the coming months and years by returning to play on and off and entering into contract negotiations so that I don't have to come to the realization that I'm done... only joking, this is it for me, God has blessed both my wife and I with a wonderful career that we got to enjoy together this last season in Sweden and I am grateful for all the opportunity I've been given from Central High to Fresno City to Humboldt to L'Hospitalet, Danube, and Carlstad. To avoid any confusion the main reason that this has occurred is because of an injury that I suffered during training preparation for the season in Austria. When life throws you lemons, you make lemonade. Mary and I have plans to adapt and continue to seek opportunities to help where we're needed. Thanks everyone very much, and I hope to still cover some more of the action of the various leagues in Europe from here in California, so stay tuned.. spanish preview is on the horizon.
